3-Ways to Send Text
There are 3 ways to send a text message using the Chatabox Plug-in for Skype for Business:
1 - Contact Menu
Right-click on a Skype for Business Contact.
2 - Hover Menu
Hover your mouse over the contact avatar and click on the epsilon icon.
3 - Enter Number
Enter the phone number of the person you wish to text in the Find someone or dial a number box. Then right-click the Skype for Business temporary contact card.
Create & Send Text Message
Type your message and select the send button – or simply press Return to send the text.
The text message status is shown in the bottom, right-hand corner of the speech bubble. Simply hover over the icon to show the status of the message and the message charge.
SMS replies will be displayed in the chat window in just the same way as Skype for Business instant messages.
New Message Notification
A Windows notification will appear whenever a reply or new SMS text message is received.
To display the Chatabox menu, right-click the Chatabox icon located in the systray in the Windows toolbar.
Selecting “Export Messages” from the Chatabox menu displays a window from which the start and end date of the messages to be exported can be selected
Available Text Credit
Selecting “Credit Info” from the Chatabox menu displays the credit remaining for the user.
Save/Send Log File
Selecting “Save/Send Log” from the Chatabox menu will initiate an email with the log zip file attached which can be sent to Chatabox for analysis.
